Job summary

University Hospitals seeks an Epic Analyst to design, configure, test, and implement Epic system changes. You will collaborate with Epic reps, leadership, and SMEs to configure workflows, support upgrades, and develop documentation and training materials for end users.

The role involves end-to-end lifecycle support, including testing, change management, reporting, and adherence to PHI safety policies. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced hospital IT environment.

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem solving ability.
  • Notable client service, communication, presentation and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to function independently and as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with PCs, Microsoft Office suite, printers, scanners, etc.
  • Knowledge of MS Visio and Project.
  • Knowledge of SQL databases.
  • Ability to work with servers and apply software upgrades.
  • Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Performs needs assessment, software design, implementation, support, and reporting.
  • Independently facilitates design of workflow with subject matter experts; improve efficiencies and quality initiatives.
  • Coordinates and participates in unit and integration testing, developing testing scripts.
  • Participates in change management activities for successful deployments and enhancements.
  • Leads development of end-user training materials and participates in training.
  • Assists team in maintaining documentation standards.
  • Identifies and analyzes moderately complex issues with vendor assistance; leads escalation.
  • Manages components of application upgrades and troubleshooting.
  • Creates reports, dashboards, and analytical tools for customers.
  • Creates and maintains system documentation.
  • Uses change control procedures and standards.
  • Provides direction to junior team members.
