Job summary

CVS Health Corporation seeks a Senior Medical Director of Clinical Informatics to lead Epic-enabled technology strategies for Clinic Operations and Quality/Stars. You will align Epic roadmaps with organizational priorities, drive clinician-focused improvements, and partner with executive leadership to advance patient outcomes while balancing safety, quality, and efficiency.

This role combines hands-on clinical practice with enterprise governance, requiring deep Epic expertise, strong

Qualifications

Licensed clinician - MD/DO, NP, or PA in good standing.
Approximately 20% clinical FTE.
10–12 years of relevant work experience.
Epic Builder training and certification (or willingness to obtain).
Minimum 5 years of ambulatory clinical practice.
Interest or experience in clinical product, informatics, safety, quality improvement, healthcare operations, or workflow redesign.
Strong executive presence with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead clinical product and Epic optimization across Clinic Operations and Quality & Stars domains.
Translate organizational priorities into Epic workflows, decision support, reporting, and clinician tools.
Support Epic upgrades, testing, implementation, and change management; oversee enterprise go-lives and major releases.
Present enterprise status, risk, and outcomes to leadership and governance committees.
