Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Medical Director, Clinical Informatics to guide Epic-enabled healthcare delivery across Clinic Operations and Quality/Stars. You will shape clinical workflows, governance and product strategy, balancing patient safety with enterprise goals.

You will lead clinical informatics initiatives while maintaining clinical practice, partnering with executives and operations to align Epic roadmaps with strategic priorities and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Licensed clinician (MD/DO or NP/PA) in good standing.
• Willingness to maintain clinical practice (~20% FTE).
• 10–12 years of relevant work experience.
• Ambulatory clinical practice experience (min 5 years).
• Epic Builder training/certification completed or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in clinical informatics, safety, quality improvement, or workflow redesign.
• Strong executive presence with senior stakeholder interaction.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and change management skills.
• Experience leading projects or large organizational change efforts.
• Knowledge of value-based care, quality metrics and patient safety.
• Familiarity with interoperability standards and HIPAA/promoting interoperability.
• Highly accountable with strong problem-solving mindset.
• Demonstrated ability to drive teams toward excellence in high-stress environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead as senior product leader for Epic-driven domains (Clinic Ops, Quality & Stars).
• Drive enterprise Epic optimization to improve workflows, quality and safety.
• Translate priorities into Epic workflows, decision support, reporting and clinician tools.
• Support Epic upgrades, testing, implementation, and change management; anchor go-lives.
• Monitor adoption and effectiveness of Epic enhancements enterprise-wide.
