Job summary

University Health is seeking an advanced Epic Credentialed Trainer with leadership responsibilities in training quality and curriculum refinement. You will mentor CT I staff and work with Principal Trainers to enhance Epic workflows.

The role requires an active RN license, a IT or related bachelor’s degree, and Epic experience in a healthcare setting, with proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Must have current, active RN license.
• Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field preferred.
• Experience with Epic application systems and general training in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
• Effective communication, customer service, and organizational skills essential.
• Minimum of two years as Credentialed Trainer I and completion of Epic Advancement Program for CT III required.

Provides higher‑level in person support, mentors CT I staff, and collaborates more closely with Principal Trainers to improve training materials and workflows. Facilitates department‑based sessions, supports optimization initiatives, and participates in planning and implementing new enhancements or upgrades. Represents Epic in operational meetings more frequently and provides advanced just‑in‑time support via telephone, electronic communication, or in person.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Must have current, active registered nurse license issued by appropriate governing body. Bachelor’s degree in information technology or other work related field is preferred. Experience in Epic application systems and general training in a healthcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of adult learning principles is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Effective communication, customer service, and organizational skills are essential. A minimum of two years of experience as a Credentialed Trainer I and successful completion of all requirements of the Epic Advancement Program for CT III are required.
