Advocate Health is seeking an Epic-focused IT professional for a fully remote role supporting Epic applications in a national scope. The position requires EPIC certification within six months, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and about three years of IT or clinical experience with process mapping and testing.

You will translate requirements into system specs, manage changes, and train users. Responsibilities include configuring systems, developing test plans, and documenting workflows

Qualifications

• EPIC certification within 6 months and annual updates as required by department
• Experience in IT or clinical environment with business process mapping, analysis and testing
• Experience using applications, operating systems and databases including hardware and interface design
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, multitask, be detail oriented, set priorities and provide excellent customer service
• Strong written and oral communication, and ability to work with users, vendors and technical professionals
• Demonstrated ability to translate user requirements into system specifications and understanding of change management
• Understanding of technical components and how they relate to applications

Responsabilités

• Identify, map, measure, analyze and improve routine to moderately complex clinical and business processes for Epic applications.
• Prepare documentation for business requirements using diagrams and data models; evaluate proposed solutions against needs.
• Translate requirements into functional/technical designs and review with users to ensure accuracy.
• Perform system configuration to meet business requirements.
• Develop test plans and scripts; conduct unit, integration, and end-user testing; document outcomes.
• Provide training materials and training to users and trainers as appropriate.
• Monitor system functionality and adjust processes; communicate status and potential downtime to users.
• Explain application functionality and assist users in using full features and workflows.
• Develop and maintain product documentation, change control and troubleshooting guidelines.
