Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an IT professional to map, analyze and optimize Epic-based clinical and business processes. The role requires translating user needs into functional specs, configuring systems, and coordinating testing and training across stakeholders.

Strong collaboration across health IT, vendors, and clinical staff is essential. A Bachelor's in CS or related field is required, with Epic experience and a 3-year background in IT/clinical settings.

Qualifications

• Epic certification is required within 6 months of hire.
• Experience mapping business and clinical requirements for IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify, map, measure, analyze and improve clinical/business processes for Epic.
• Prepare business requirements documentation with diagrams and models.
• Translate user requirements into functional/technical design specs.
• Configure systems to meet business needs and validate with testing.
• Develop test plans/cases/scripts and conduct end-user testing.
• Provide training and support to users and project teams.
• Monitor system functionality and performance, enacting changes as needed.
• Communicate status to users and manage upgrades and priorities.
