Job summary

CDM Smith in New Jersey is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. You will assist with regulatory compliance efforts for federal, state, and local environmental programs across multiple projects.

Collaborate with scientists, engineers and toxicologists to develop risk assessments (HHRAs, ERAs), QA/QC plans, and data interpretation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in science with professional registration/certification.
7 years of related experience in environmental consulting or regulation.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Equivalent related experience may count toward degree.
Background in toxicology, environmental science or public health preferred with 7+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

Support site investigations and risk assessments (HHRAs and ERAs) under general direction.
Develop DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs with risk teams.
Prepare CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs for various complexity levels.
Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
Provide technical guidance on client projects and mentor junior staff.
Assist with proposals and contribute white papers on environmental issues.
