Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group in the United States. You will assist with regulatory compliance efforts for federal, state, and local projects across CDM Smith’s portfolio.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan, evaluate data, develop exposure models, and prepare assessments of varying complexity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Science; professional registration preferred.
• 7 years of related environmental risk/consulting experience.
• Willingness to travel domestically or internationally.
• Equivalent experience may substitute for degree.

Responsibilities

• Support site investigations and interpretation of data for HHRAs and ERAs.
• Contribute to DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs within teams.
• Assist with CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, BERAs of varied complexity.
• Collaborate with scientists, geologists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior staff.
• Support sales proposals and client meetings; prepare white papers.
