Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Environmental Scientist/Environmental Risk Assessor to support Human Health and Ecological projects within the Environmental Services Group. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and data interpretation across federal, state, and local programs in the CDM Smith portfolio.

You will develop DQOs, QAPPs, SAPs, and CSEMs, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to implement approved project approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science with professional registration or Master's degree.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Travel domestically and/or internationally may be required.
• Equivalent related experience considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Supports site investigations and human health/ecological risk assessments (HHRAs/ERAs).
• Develops DQOs, QAPPs, and SAPs for projects.
• Prepares CSEMs, HHRAs, SLERAs, and BERAs of varying complexity.
• Collaborates with scientists, engineers, and toxicologists on project approaches.
• Provides technical guidance and mentoring to junior staff.
• Supports proposals and client communications; presents at conferences.
