Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Remediation Intern to support field teams on soil and groundwater sampling, remediation system maintenance, and data analysis for world-class projects.

Based in an approved Jacobs location with travel, you will assist PMs, scientists, geologists and engineers, plan field activities, and contribute to technical reports while gaining hands-on experience in environmental services.

Qualifications

• In pursuit of a Bachelors or Masters degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or closely related field
• Must be at least a rising Junior
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Willingness to perform field work and travel
• United States Citizenship
• Driver's License Required
• Ability to work from one of the approved Jacobs locations
• 3.0 GPA
• A previous internship related to your field of study
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs
• Self-driven time management and organizational skills
• Ability to obtain 40-hour hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher class

Responsibilities

• Assist a team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget for world class projects.
• Plan and execute field activities including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and remediation system maintenance; prepare scopes of work for subcontracts, conduct data analysis on field and laboratory data sets, and create technical reports documenting completed activities and results.
