Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Remediation Intern to support project teams on critical environmental challenges. You will assist with field activities such as soil and groundwater sampling and remediation system maintenance, and help prepare scopes of work for subcontracts.

You will analyze field and lab data and document results in technical reports, spending about 85% of time in the field with some travel, while collaborating with colleagues at an approved Jacobs location.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering or closely related field.
• Must be at least a rising Junior.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Willingness to perform field work and travel.
• United States Citizenship.
• Driver's License Required.
• Ability to work from one of the approved Jacobs locations.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams on critical environmental remediation projects.
• Assist with field activities including soil and groundwater sampling, and remediation system maintenance.
• Prepare scopes of work for subcontracts and conduct data analysis on field and laboratory data sets.
• Create technical reports documenting activities and results.
• Estimated field work time is 85%, with some travel; collaborate with office staff when not traveling.
