Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Remediation Intern to support field activities, soil and groundwater sampling, and remediation system maintenance on world-class projects. Based in an approved Jacobs office location, you will join a team of professionals delivering environmental services on time and within budget.

The internship requires pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology or a closely related field, willingness to travel, and United States citizenship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or closely related field.
• Must be at least a rising Junior.
• Willingness to perform field work and travel.
• United States Citizenship.
• Driver’s License Required.
• Ability to work from one of the approved Jacobs locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist a team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget.
• Plan and execute field activities including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and remediation system maintenance.
• Prepare scopes of work for subcontracts and conduct data analysis on field and laboratory data sets.
• Create technical reports documenting completed activities and results; travel ~85% of time.
