Job summary

Jacobs is looking for an Environmental Remediation Intern to support project teams by performing field activities and data analysis for environmental services. You will plan, execute, and document sampling campaigns, assist with scopes of work, and contribute to technical reports while adapting to a travel-intensive schedule.

Based out of an approved Jacobs office location, you may travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or closely related field.
Must be at least a rising Junior.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Willingness to perform field work and travel.
United States Citizenship.
Driver's License Required.
Ability to work from one of the approved Jacobs locations.

Responsibilities

Assist a team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget.
Plan and execute field activities including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and remediation system maintenance.
Prepare scopes of work for subcontracts, conduct data analysis on field and laboratory data sets, and create technical reports documenting completed activities and results.
Estimated time spent doing field work is approximately 85%, with some travel.
