Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Environmental Remediation Intern to support field and project teams on critical environmental projects. You’ll assist with soil and groundwater sampling, data analysis, and reporting under experienced staff in a hybrid work environment.

Based in approved Jacobs locations, you may travel to project sites and contribute 85% field work while developing technical skills and professional growth within our multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or closely related field.
• Must be at least a rising Junior.
• Willingness to perform field work and travel.
• United States Citizenship.
• Driver’s License Required.
• Ability to work from one of the approved Jacobs locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist field activities including soil sampling and groundwater sampling.
• Support remediation system maintenance and data collection.
• Prepare scopes of work for subcontracts and conduct data analysis.
• Create technical reports documenting activities and results.
• Approximately 85% of time spent in the field with some travel.
