Qualifications

• 15+ years in environmental consulting, engineering, or leadership with growing responsibility.
• Strong reputation and network in the environmental sector.
• Proven ability to grow client relationships and win new business.
• Experienced seller-doer balancing BD, client mgmt, and delivery.
• Ability to identify client needs and shape practical solutions.
• Deep understanding of environmental regulations and their application.
• Experience with large, complex, or multi-site programs.
• Ability to develop strategic relationships with executives and operations leaders.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Experience mentoring technically skilled professionals.

Responsibilities

• Build and expand strategic relationships with regional, national, and multi-site clients.
• Identify and win opportunities through technical expertise and client networks.
• Lead calls, meetings, and major proposal efforts with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to cross-selling across environmental, engineering, and sustainability services.
• Mentor Project Managers to build business development skills.
• Provide technical guidance across environmental compliance, site investigation, and remediation.
• Support project delivery with QA/QC and risk-based decisions.
• Promote technical excellence and consistent project execution.
• Monitor regulations and market trends to identify opportunities for clients and Apex.
