Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to oversee compliance with Ryder environmental policies in supply chain services, including warehousing and crossdocking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or 5+ years related experience with regulatory, corporate consulting, finance or transportation setting
• Master's degree preferred Environmental Science or related field
• 5+ years or more progressively responsible position in the environmental field with emphasis in large corporate setting
• 5+ years or more Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting the transportation industry
• 5+ years or more Experience with regulatory agency or consulting firm in the environmental area
• 3+ years or more Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation
• Knowledge of Environmental Laws impacting the transportation and logistics industry (intermediate)

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities from RFP issuance through Go Live
• Stays current with environmental regulations impacting Ryder's warehousing, emissions, waste and hazmat programs
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities, including audits and response to external audits
• Develops and implements environmental training tools for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting
• Performs other duties as assigned
