Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to ensure adherence to Ryder environmental policies in supply chain services including warehousing and cross-docking operations.

The role reports to the Director of Environmental Services and collaborates with stakeholders from RFP to steady-state operations. Key duties include due diligence, regulatory monitoring for emissions, waste and hazmat, facility audits, and developing training tools for regulatory compliance and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Environmental Science or five years related experience.
• Master's degree preferred Environmental Science or related field.
• Five years or more progressively responsible position in environmental field with emphasis in large corporate setting.
• Five years or more Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting the transportation industry.
• Three years or more Experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation.
• Knowledge of Environmental Laws impacting the transportation and logistics industry. intermediate required

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities from RFP issuance through Go Live.
• Stays current with local, state and federal environmental regulations impacting Ryder, warehousing and hazmat management.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities, including audits.
• Develops and implements environmental training tools for waste management, spill response, regulatory reporting.
