Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to oversee environmental compliance in supply chain services, including warehousing and crossdocking. You will collaborate with stakeholders from RFP to steady-state operations and focus on hazmat storage and regulatory controls to reduce risk.

You will lead due diligence, stay updated on regulations, support facilities audits, and develop training tools to meet waste management and regulatory reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or 5+ years of related regulatory experience in corporate, consulting, finance or transportation.
• 5+ years progressively responsible environmental role in a large corporate setting, with emphasis on compliance and regulatory affairs.

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities from RFP through Go Live to ensure compliance with Ryder environmental policies and regulations.
• Monitors and stays current with local, state and federal environmental regulations impacting stationary emissions, waste and hazmat management; implements controls to reduce risk.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouses and cross-docking facilities; conducts routine audits and coordinates responses to external environmental audits.
• Develops and implements environmental training tools for waste management, spill response, regulatory reporting, and related ongoing training requirements.
