Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to lead management support, analysis, and reporting ensuring adherence to environmental policies across warehousing and crossdocking operations.

The role partners with the Director of Environmental Services and stakeholders from RFP through steady-state operations, focusing on hazardous materials storage and environmental controls to reduce risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or five years of related experience with regulatory, corporate consulting, finance or transportation setting.
• Master's degree preferred Environmental Science or related field.
• Five years or more progressively responsible position in environmental field with emphasis in a large corporate setting.
• Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting the transportation industry.

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities from RFP issuance through Go Live.
• Stays current with local, state and federal environmental regulations impacting Ryder operations.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities, including audits.
• Develops and implements environmental training tools for waste management and regulatory reporting.
