Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to lead environmental compliance for warehousing and cross-docking operations within the supply chain.

The role emphasizes hazardous materials storage, regulatory adherence, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders from RFP to steady-state operations. The candidate will perform due diligence, monitor regulations, and implement training tools to reduce risk and improve compliance across facilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or five years related experience in regulatory, corporate consulting, finance, or transportation.
• Master's degree preferred in Environmental Science or related field.
• Five years or more progressively responsible position in environmental field in large corporate setting.
• Five years or more familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting transportation industry.
• Five years or more experience with regulatory agency or consulting firm in environmental area.
• Three years or more experience with hazardous materials storage and transportation.
• Knowledge of Environmental Laws impacting the transportation and logistics industry.

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence for new supply chain opportunities with stakeholders.
• Keeps current with regs on emissions, waste, and hazmat management for Ryder.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities, including audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training tools for waste management and regulatory reporting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
