Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to lead compliance efforts for warehousing and cross-docking operations, with emphasis on hazardous materials storage.

The role collaborates with stakeholders from RFP to steady-state operations to reduce risk and improve environmental compliance. The ideal candidate will have deep regulatory knowledge, strong analytical skills, and the ability to train teams across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or closely related field is required.
• Master's degree is preferred for advanced knowledge and leadership
• Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in environmental settings with regulatory focus

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental due diligence for new supply chain opportunities from RFP through Go Live to ensure compliance with Ryder policies and applicable regulations.
• Monitor local, state, and federal environmental regulations affecting warehousing, waste, and hazmat management to implement compliant controls.
• Provide day-to-day compliance support to facilities, conduct audits, and coordinate responses to external environmental audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training tools for waste management, spill response, regulatory reporting, and related areas.
