Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to lead compliance efforts across warehousing and cross-docking operations. You will conduct due diligence, interpret regulations, and implement controls to reduce environmental risk and ensure policy adherence.

The role collaborates with suppliers and customers through the project lifecycle, supports audits, and develops training for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting. Travel is typical 10-20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or 5+ years of regulatory/transportation experience.
• Five+ years in environmental field in large corporate setting.
• Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting transportation industry.
• Experience with regulatory agencies or consulting firms in environmental area.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental due diligence assessments from RFP issuance through Go Live to ensure compliance with Ryder policies and regulations.
• Stay current with local, state and federal environmental regulations impacting stationary emissions, waste and hazmat management.
• Provide day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities during steady-state operations and audits.
• Develop and implement environmental training tools for waste management, spill response and regulatory reporting.
