Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Services Compliance Manager to lead compliance efforts across warehousing and cross-docking operations, focusing on hazardous materials handling and regulatory adherence.

You will perform due diligence, coordinate audits, and develop training to minimize risk and improve environmental performance. The role reports to Environmental Services leadership, collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, and supports regulatory interpretation from

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or five years related experience with regulatory, corporate consulting, finance or transportation setting.
• Master's degree preferred Environmental Science or related field
• Five years or more progressively responsible position in environmental field with emphasis in large corporate setting
• Familiarity with Environmental Laws impacting transportation industry
• Experience with regulatory agency or consulting firm in environmental area

Responsibilities

• Performs environmental due diligence assessments for new supply chain opportunities from RFP issuance through “Go Live” to assure compliance with Ryder environmental policies, customer requirements and regulations.
• Stays current with local, state and federal environmental regulations impacting Ryder and related to emissions, waste and hazmat management to implement controls.
• Provides day-to-day compliance support to warehouse and cross-docking facilities including routine audits and coordinating responses to external environmental audits.
• Develops and implements environmental training tools for waste management, spill response, regulatory reporting, and related topics.
