Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking an entry-level Truck Driver Transmission to support construction, maintenance and repair of electrical transmission systems. The role involves working at various sites and may require travel to another state as needed by customer demands.

Responsibilities include performing safe transmission work, stringing overhead wire, setting poles, and assisting with transformers and switchgear. Requires the ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate safely in high-volt environments.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Understands operation of heavy equipment.
• Capable of learning basic materials used in line work.
• Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License.
• Willing to work overtime when requested.
• Capable of working at heights and/or confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing transmission construction, maintenance or repair.
• Stringing overhead wire.
• Setting poles and anchors.
• Assist with installing transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms and switchgear.
• Assist in replacing fuses in transformers and clears faulted circuits.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Perform other related duties to complete the job.
