Job summary

Pike Corporation in Georgia is seeking an entry-level Truck Driver Transmission to support construction, maintenance and repair of electrical transmission systems. The position is field-based and involves travel to multiple sites as needed.

This role requires the operation of heavy equipment, safe handling of energized systems, and collaboration with linemen and project crews. Outdoor work in varying weather is expected, with the potential for overtime and long drives.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Able to perform rigorous physical labor and lift 50 lbs+.
• Willing to travel and work extended hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance or repair work on energized and de-energized transmission lines.
• String overhead wire and set poles and anchors.
• Assist with installing transformers, arrestors, crossarms, insulators and switchgear.
• Assist in replacing fuses in transformers and clearing faulted circuits.
• Work with energized high voltage systems and follow safety protocols.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Perform other related duties to complete the job.
