Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students to improve academics, attendance, and behavior in elementary to high school settings. This entry-level, paid, full-time role starts with 2–4 weeks of training and places you with partner teachers and school staff.

You’ll work 1:1 and in small groups, develop literacy and math skills, support whole-school initiatives, and help create a safe, engaging classroom.

Qualifications

• Entry-level AmeriCorps role focused on coaching and mentoring students.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor students to improve academic success, attendance and behavior.
• Plan and monitor student progress; collaborate with teachers on classroom activities.
• Support literacy and math development through individualized and group activities.
