Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician, Level 1, to perform field maintenance and learn to follow safe work practices in the solar industry. This full-time role is located on a jobsite in Tucson, AZ, with expectations discussed during interview.

The position requires operating company tooling and staying current on safety training. Responsibilities include servicing solar equipment, basic testing and troubleshooting under supervision, and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent; Vocational/Technical training is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Basic understanding of solar installations/plants.
• Familiarity with testing equipment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must obtain NFPA 70e Safety Training certification and stay current.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record; ability to operate company vehicle.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for training and site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and ensure adherence to safe work practices.
• Operate and care for company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond to on-call requests for emergency repairs.
• Document work performed accurately in reports.
• Collaborate on process improvements with EPC management.
• Maintain a professional and inclusive work environment.
• Support project teams with on-site execution and coverage.
