Description
Position Overview
The Entry-Level Recruitment Assistant provides administrative support to Directors, Managers, and Coordinators in all areas of recruitment of entry-level attorneys and summer associates. In addition, the Entry-Level Recruitment Assistant supports special projects, including lateral recruitment, legal personnel, communications, special events, and intranet/extranet maintenance.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Entry-Level Recruitment
- Support firm's strategies and coordinate efforts for attracting and hiring summer associates through the resume review process, student outreach efforts, on-campus, virtual, and in-person interviews, candidate evaluation, and offer decision process.
- Coordinate development and advancement opportunities for summer associates through effective integration, training, mentoring, career. development, experiential learning, and other development initiatives.
- Organize and execute recruitment and summer associate events and activities for the local office.
- Assist with the onboarding process for new hires, as needed.
General Recruitment
- Prepare and maintain reports, as necessary, to carry out the recruitment functions of the Entry-Level Recruitment Team.
- Assist with lateral recruitment efforts on an as-needed basis.
- Manage engagement efforts at assigned schools, fostering relationships with key school contacts and student organizations.
- Register for interview programs, job fairs, and events for assigned schools.
- Suggest new and innovative ways to strengthen ties with key schools and student groups.
- Manage law school donation requests and on-campus recruiting event expenses for assigned schools.
- Partner with Events Department on large-scale recruiting events that require logistics support.
- Coordinate strategy and execution of outreach events for select law schools.
- Work with recent summer associates/law school grads to get insight into candidate needs/expectations.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Occasional travel and ability to work late hours.
- Job is subject to time pressures and constraints.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field required.
Experience:
- Customarily has 0-2 years of relevant experience. Previous law firm experience in recruiting or other professional services firm is preferred.
Special Knowledge:
- Knowledge of local city restaurants and event spaces preferred, but not required.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of firm computer software; aptitude to learn and become proficient quickly in a variety of software/systems. Experience with recruiting and human resources information systems such as ViDesktop, Flo Recruit, Suited, and Oracle is preferred, but not required.
