Position Overview

The Entry-Level Recruitment Assistant provides administrative support to Directors, Managers, and Coordinators in all areas of recruitment of entry-level attorneys and summer associates. Additionally, the role supports special projects, including lateral recruitment, legal personnel, communications, events, and intranet/extranet maintenance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Support the firm's strategies for attracting and hiring summer associates, including resume review, student outreach, interviews, candidate evaluation, and offers.
  2. Coordinate development and advancement opportunities for summer associates through training, mentoring, and experiential learning initiatives.
  3. Organize and execute recruitment and summer associate events.
  4. Assist with onboarding new hires.

General Recruitment

  • Maintain reports to support recruitment functions.
  • Assist with lateral recruitment efforts as needed.

Law School Engagement & Student Outreach

  • Manage engagement efforts at assigned law schools, including relationships, events, and outreach strategies.
  • Register for interview programs and events.
  • Manage law school donation requests and event expenses.
  • Coordinate large-scale recruiting events with the Events Department.
  • Work with recent summer associates and grads for insights.
  • Support social media campaigns targeting law students.

Secondary Duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions

  • Occasional travel and late hours.
  • Work under time pressures and constraints.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 0-2 years relevant experience; law firm experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of local restaurants and event spaces is a plus.
  • Proficiency with firm software; experience with recruiting systems is preferred.
  • Motivated, organized, discreet, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
