Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager in Richmond, VA. This entry-level PM role focuses on learning essential duties and providing administrative and construction support to the Project Management team on active construction sites.

You will manage documentation, submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes, while coordinating with subcontractors and clients. Travel up to 25% is expected as you develop project management competency within a leading employee-owned contractor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a construction-related role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Oracle preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, and meeting minutes.
• Oversee project activities and support Project Manager on planning and coordination.
• Maintain change orders, logs for submittals, drawings, and logs for meetings.
• Prepare logs and documentation for construction meetings.
• Assist in contract submittals and subcontractor contracts.
• Prepare Owner and Maintenance Manuals and ensure quality control compliance.
• Attend meetings with clients and subcontractors; provide PM support.
• Assist field personnel and monitor other contractors’ progress.
• Create Job Information Sheets and Job Files; assist payroll with data.
• Support in price change orders and project reports.
