Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) is seeking an entry-level Associate Member Services Representative to support branch operations and provide excellent member service by phone and in person. You will learn core branch processes, including cash handling, account maintenance, and basic product referrals, with supervision from experienced MSR staff.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Preferred – Bachelor’s degree, CCUE Certification, or AA/AS via NC-CTP.
• Consistently demonstrates SECU’s Core Values.
• Aptitude for meeting people and developing member confidence, respect, and trust.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good problem‑solving skills.
• Must complete Core Module Program within 12 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary member service by responding to inquiries by phone and in person.
• Balance a cash drawer and process transactions per standards.
• Assist with drive-through operations as needed.
• Verify and prepare cash deliveries and shipments.
• Open basic accounts under supervision as learned (shares, money market, checking, and Share Term Certificates).
• Maintain records for reports and complete administrative duties as needed.
• Handle wire transfers and foreign currency transactions.
