Job summary

SECU is seeking an entry-level Associate Member Services Officer to learn branch operations, assist with daily cash handling, account opening, and servicing member requests. The role provides a foundation in lending and collections and offers exposure to essential credit union services.

You will greet members, answer inquiries across in-person, phone, and digital channels; follow policy and regulatory guidelines; and build confidence through accurate service and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree, CCUE Certification, or AA/AS via NC-CTP.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to protect member information and follow policies.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member inquiries by phone and in person.
• Assist with cash handling and balancing a cash drawer.
• Aid in account origination and maintenance.
• Learn lending and collections processes.
• Provide notary services as requested by management.
• Organize, file and scan documents daily.
• Process wire transfers and foreign currency requests.
• Support cross-department coordination to fulfill member requests.
