Job summary

SECU is seeking an Associate Member Services Representative to start a career in branch operations. This entry-level role provides foundational knowledge of routine branch duties and emphasizes exemplary member service by answering inquiries by phone and in person, including cash handling and account maintenance.

You'll learn to process transactions, balance cash drawers, and support various departments while maintaining confidentiality and following security guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s or CCUE/AA/AS via NC-CTP preferred.
• Demonstrates SECU core values and professional demeanor.
• Aptitude for meeting people and building member confidence, respect, and trust.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; problem-solving abilities.
• Complete Core Module Program within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Credit Union policies and regulatory requirements.
• Protect member information and access to accounts.
• Follow security and control procedures.
• Process transactions and balance cash drawer per standards.
• Greet and assist members via in-person, phone, and digital channels.
• Operate drive-through window as needed.
• Balance vault, ATMs, teller cash dispenser, and coin sorter.
• Process wire transfers and currency exchanges.
• Troubleshoot issues with member accounts, cards, and online access.
• Maintain daily/monthly records and assist with department requests.
