Job summary

State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) is seeking an Associate Member Services Representative to join its Roanoke Rapids branch. This entry-level role provides foundational knowledge of branch operations and focuses on delivering exemplary member service through in-person, phone, and digital channels.

You will assist with transactions, balance the cash drawer, learn basic account openings, and gradually expand knowledge of financial products while adhering to security and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CCUE / NC-CTP not mandatory.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle cash, balance drawers, and maintain confidentiality.
• Proven problem-solving and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member inquiries by phone and in person, including account origination and maintenance.
• Balance the cash drawer and manage cash shipments with accuracy.
• Process transactions and operate drive-through as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow security procedures.
• Assist with opening basic accounts and learn financial products with supervision.
• Maintain daily and monthly records for branch reports.
