UNC Health in Raleigh, NC seeks an entry-level Medical Assistant who has completed an accredited program and is eligible to take credentialing exams. The role provides routine clinical and administrative support in an outpatient clinic under supervision.

This position may transition to credentialed status; BLS is required and credentialing must be completed within 90 days of hire. Onsite clinic work with standard 40-hour week.

Competenze

• Basic Life Support certification required (AHA or ARC).
• Must obtain Medical Assistant certification within 90 days of hire.
• Education: none required beyond completing an accredited medical assisting program.

Mansioni

• Rooming and intake including vital signs and patient data collection.
• Reviewing patient history, medications, allergies, and pharmacy preferences.
• Assist provider during procedures and administer medications as directed.
• Perform tests (e.g., EKG, eye exams) under supervision.
• Prepare and maintain exam/treatment rooms and supplies.
• Provide after-visit instructions and patient education.
