Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group in Raleigh, NC is seeking an entry-level Medical Assistant who has completed an accredited program and is eligible for credentialing. You will support clinicians in an outpatient setting, performing rooming, data collection, and basic clinical tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities include patient intake, vitals, history review, phlebotomy, and assisting with procedures, along with administrative duties such as scheduling and registration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Must complete credentialing requirements for Medical Assistant, Certified within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform rooming and intake including vital signs and patient data.
• Collect patient history, meds, allergies, and current pharmacy.
• Assist providers during procedures and administer medications as directed.
• Perform routine tests such as EKG and eye exams under supervision.
• Maintain exam rooms and ensure supplies and educational materials are available.
• Provide post-visit instructions and educational materials.
