Responsibilities include rooming patients, collecting vitals, reviewing med lists, and assisting with procedures. Requires at least one year of MA experience and a qualifying certification; BLS is required.

Qualifications

• One year of full‑time experience as a Medical Assistant, Certified.
• Certification as Medical Assistant (AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA).
• BLS/CPR certification from AHA or ARC.

Responsibilities

• Room patients for visits and record vitals (BP, height, weight).
• Collect patient/relevant data including medical and social history.
• Review medications, allergies and preferred pharmacy.
• Assist provider during examinations and procedures.
• Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy.
• Administer medications under provider direction.
• Perform tests (e.g., EKG, basic vision/hearing) as directed.
• Verify need for routine health screenings in chart.
• Prepare, stock and clean exam/treatment rooms.
• Provide post‑visit instructions and education materials.
• Assist with registration, scheduling and referrals.
• Answer clinic calls and triage as directed.
• Assist in emergencies as directed by a clinician.
