UNC Health Care seeks a Certified Medical Assistant I to provide routine clinical and administrative support in an outpatient clinic setting. The assistant works under clinical supervision for patient care activities and under management for non-clinical tasks.

The role offers a $7,500 commitment incentive and requires MA certification from AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA along with BLS. Prior MA or externship experience is preferred, with a 40-hour work week onsite in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifikationen

• Medical Assisting certification is required by one of the listed bodies (AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA).
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC is required.
• Experience as MA or externship preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform rooming and intake including vital signs and reason for visit.
• Collect patient data including medical and social history.
• Review medications, allergies, and preferred pharmacy.
• Assist provider during treatments and procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Administer medications under provider direction.
• Conduct tests such as EKG and basic eye exams under supervision.
• Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms.
