UNC Health Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant I, Certified to support outpatient clinics in Raleigh, NC. The role provides routine clinical and administrative support under provider supervision and clinic management.

Qualifications include MA certification and BLS, with prior MA or externship experience preferred. The position is per diem, onsite, with variable schedule and salary range in line with local market.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant from AAMA/AMT/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA is required.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.
• Prior MA or externship experience preferred.
• Ability to document information into the EMR.

Responsabilités

• Rooming and intake including vital signs and visit reason data collection.
• Collects patient and family data including medical and social history.
• Reviews medication list, allergies and preferred pharmacy.
• Assists provider during treatments, exams and procedures.
• Collects specimens and performs phlebotomy.
• Administers medications under provider direction.
• Performs tests such as EKG or eye exams under supervision.
• Reviews patient records to determine routine health screenings.
