Linde plc invites applications for the 2027 Entry Level Mechanical Engineer – Leadership Technical Orientation Program (LTOP). The program provides a fifty-two week curriculum exposing you to plant operations across multiple product lines, with an anticipated start around July 1, 2027.

You will perform hands-on operational activities, including start-ups, shutdowns, maintenance, and project planning, while operating equipment through control systems and in the field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.
• Zero to three years of experience from internship or co-op roles demonstrating technical capability.
• Strong communication and cross-functional relationship-building; ability to adapt to changing operational needs.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, solve problems independently, and drive tasks to completion with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; apply analytical skills to technical and operational challenges.
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% to plant sites and training locations; open to relocation for program assignments.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a fifty-two week structured curriculum exposing you to plant operations across multiple product lines.
• Engage in hands-on operational activities such as start-ups, shutdowns, maintenance, project planning, training, troubleshooting, safety program execution, and daily plant support.
• Operate process equipment through control systems and in the field (motors, compressors, pumps, instrumentation, and utilities).
• Monitor efficiency, assess energy consumption, optimize operating modes, and implement changes to improve plant performance.
• Support quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and assist distribution and operations; execute projects within budgets and schedules.
• Collaborate with process engineering, project engineering, controls, maintenance, reliability, safety, and operations teams while receiving mentored leadership development.
