Linde plc in Chesterton, IN invites 2027 graduates to join the Leadership Technical Orientation Program (LTOP). You will rotate through plant operations across multiple product lines and gain hands-on experience with start-ups, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

The program emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with process and project engineering, controls, and reliability teams, building leadership skills while progressing toward operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (GPA 3.0+ strongly preferred)
• 0–3 years of internship/co-op experience
• Strong communication and cross-functional relationship building
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and detail-oriented
• Willing to travel up to 25% and relocate as needed

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 52-week structured curriculum exposing you to plant operations across product lines
• Engage in hands-on activities: start-ups, shutdowns, maintenance, project planning, training, troubleshooting
• Operate process equipment via control systems and in the field: motors, compressors, pumps, instrumentation, utilities
• Monitor energy use, optimize operating modes, and implement efficiency improvements
• Support QA programs, regulatory compliance, and assist distribution and operations
• Collaborate with process/ project engineering, controls, maintenance, reliability, safety, and operations teams for leadership development
