Job summary

Linde plc in Freeport, TX invites applications for the 2027 Entry Level Chemical Engineer – Leadership Technical Orientation Program (LTOP). This entry‑level role provides a fifty‑two week curriculum across plant operations, with hands‑on experiences in start‑ups, shutdowns, maintenance and training.

You will work on process equipment, monitor performance, and collaborate with engineering and operations teams while gaining mentored leadership development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with GPA 3.0+ preferred
• Zero to three years of internship or co-op experience demonstrating technical capability
• Strong communication and cross-functional relationship-building
• Willing and able to travel up to 25% and relocate as required for program assignments
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and ability to apply analytical skills

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 52-week structured curriculum exposing you to plant operations across multiple product lines
• Engage in hands-on operational activities such as start-ups, shutdowns, maintenance, project planning, training, troubleshooting and safety program execution
• Operate process equipment via control systems and in the field, including motors, compressors, pumps and instrumentation
• Monitor efficiency, assess energy use, optimize operating modes and implement improvements
• Support quality assurance, ensure regulatory compliance and assist distribution and operations teams
• Collaborate with process engineering, project engineering, controls, maintenance, reliability and safety teams with mentored leadership development
