Job summary

Herc Rentals in Hawaii seeks an entry level Mechanic C to learn product knowledge and quality standards within the branch. You will follow SOPs at branch, region, and national levels to grow towards higher level mechanics, contributing to fleet maintenance and keeping equipment on the rental 'ready line'.

Qualifications

• Accredited education in heavy equipment repair or 1 year of experience in lieu of
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Basic computer skills for entering information into systems

Responsibilities

• Follow a consistent schedule of preventative maintenance on all Herc-owned fleet at the branch
• Operate and test equipment to meet quality and efficiency standards
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs under direct supervision
• Diagnose small tools and light equipment with assistance
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication, tire replacements, and related services
• Enter work orders and order parts via fleet management system
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Produce detailed service reports and repair logs
• Follow all procedures and protocols
• Perform additional duties as assigned
