Job summary
Herc Rentals is seeking a Mechanic C at our local branch. You will begin by learning product knowledge and quality standards, and you will follow branch, region, and national procedures to grow toward higher level mechanics, contributing to a maintenance program that keeps our fleet rental-ready.
Under supervision you will perform preventative maintenance, test and diagnose equipment, enter work orders and parts requests, and help recondition parts while documenting repairs to support fleet
Qualifications
- Accredited education in heavy equipment repair or 1 year of experience in lieu of.
- Owns a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on all Herc owned fleet at the branch.
- Operate and test equipment to ensure it passes quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs under direct supervision.
- Diagnose small tools and light equipment with senior guidance.
- Enter work orders and complete part ordering via fleet management system.
- Produce timely service reports and repair logs.
- Follow all company procedures and protocols.
