Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking an entry-level Mechanic C to learn product knowledge and maintenance standards within the branch. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and basic repairs to keep fleet in a ready state. The role emphasizes safety, procedural adherence, and collaboration with supervision.

This position requires basic mechanical training, the ability to operate equipment, and willingness to participate in ongoing learning across branch and regional teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Owns a selection of hand and air/electric tools.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple vehicles and equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems; willing to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet per schedule.
• Replace oil and fuel filters per OEM recommendations.
• Inspect and test equipment to meet safety and quality standards.
• Enter work orders and maintain repair logs.
• Collaborate with supervisor to ensure machine performance and safety.
• Read electrical schematics and diagnose issues.
