Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking an entry-level Mechanic C to learn branch-level processes and support fleet maintenance to keep equipment on the rental ready line. You will follow SOPs, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with repairs under supervision.

The role emphasizes safety, equipment inspections, and collaboration with a supervisor to ensure machine performance meets standards. A US-based position with hourly pay between $22 and $26.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ownership of a sufficient selection of hand and air/electric tools to complete most repairs and services.
• Ability to drive and operate multiple types of vehicles and equipment.
• Some knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems; willingness to learn how to read schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on all Herc-owned fleet.
• Replace filters, fluids, and perform oil changes as per OEM guidance.
• Inspect and test equipment for safety and operation.
• Enter work orders and update repair logs.
