Job summary

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a Junior Property Compliance Analyst to assist with tenant file reviews under Section 42, focusing on 24 CFR Part 5 income eligibility. You will operate under supervision, following established procedures to ensure regulatory compliance while building proficiency in affordable housing standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of related experience, and the willingness to obtain certifications such as COS or HCCP within two years.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least one year of relevant experience in Section 42, Section 8, or other government housing programs, with a focus on 24 CFR Part 5 related to income eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g. COS, HCCP) are preferred.
• Candidates without certification should demonstrate the ability to obtain certification within two years.
• Additional company-sponsored compliance certifications may be required or encouraged.
• Knowledge of HOTMA and tenant file compliance rules.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel domestically (approx. 25–35%).

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-occupancy tenant file compliance reviews and reports for designated clients.
• Identify and elevate potential problem areas during engagements.
• Conduct research related to federal and state compliance regulations.
• Work within a deadline-driven environment with oversight to meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Meet or exceed established file review productivity benchmarks.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.
