Job summary

Novogradac is seeking a Junior Property Compliance Analyst to perform tenant file reviews for Section 42 compliance, with emphasis on 24 CFR Part 5 income eligibility. The role operates under supervision with established guidelines and may offer remote or hybrid options based on business needs, including Long Beach, CA.

Ideal candidates have at least a high school diploma, 1+ year experience in government housing programs, and a willingness to obtain certifications like COS or HCCP within two

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• Experience in Section 42, 8, or government housing programs with focus on 24 CFR Part 5 income eligibility; certification preferred.
• Knowledge of HOTMA and housing compliance rules.
• Proactive, detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and follow supervisory guidance.

Responsibilities

• Complete pre- and post-occupancy tenant file compliance reviews and reports.
• Identify and escalate potential problem areas during engagements.
• Conduct research on federal/state compliance regulations under supervision.
• Work in a deadline-driven environment with oversight to meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Travel domestically as needed (25–35%).
