Job summary

Integrated Power Services is hiring a Generator Field Service Technician to service, repair, and maintain standby generators for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and testing, ensuring reliable power and safety in customer facilities.

Travel locally in a company vehicle, document work, and communicate findings clearly. IPS emphasizes training, safety, and career development in a dynamic, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a technical school is desired and related generator/diesel knowledge is preferred.
• Experience in repair or maintenance of generators is preferred or an equivalent education/experience.
• Mechanical aptitude can substitute for formal generator training.
• Good communication and customer service skills are required.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record is required; DOT medical certification may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine-driven standby generators in the field.
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and testing of generator systems.
• Communicate issues and resolutions clearly to customers and document work performed.
• Travel locally in company vehicle, manage vehicle inventory, and perform safety checks.
