Job summary

Integrated Power Services, LLC. (IPS) is seeking a Generator Field Service Technician to service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine‑driven standby generators in the field, supporting residential, commercial, and industrial clients to ensure reliable power and minimize downtime.

You will receive extensive training, work with experienced teammates, and have access to a company vehicle for local travel.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a technical school with generators, diesel, or power gen specialization (preferred).
• 3+ years of experience operating a vehicle with a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work after hours and on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine‑driven standby generators in the field.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on generator systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment using meters, schematics, and manuals.
• Conduct tests (load bank, ATS, function) and complete accurate reports.
• Maintain company vehicle and adhere to safety standards while traveling to sites.
